Kevin Scott is what happens when you mix military discipline, decades of customer service battle scars, and just enough humor to survive both. With more than 25 years in the customer experience and contact center world, Kevin has built a career helping companies turn chaotic call floors into places that actually run smoothly — and occasionally even happily. He’s the guy organizations call when customer service feels like controlled chaos and they’re ready for something better.
Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, Kevin has spent his career proving that great customer experiences don’t come from fancy buzzwords or trendy leadership books. They come from building strong teams, fixing broken processes, and understanding that behind every headset is a human just trying to get through their shift without three system outages and a customer who’s been on hold since breakfast.
Before stepping into the corporate world, Kevin served as a U.S. Army paratrooper and worked in Military Intelligence as a voice interceptor. After training at the Defense Language Institute, he became fluent in Spanish and learned how to stay calm in high-pressure situations — skills that turn out to be surprisingly useful when leading call center operations. Jumping out of airplanes may sound intense, but Kevin will tell you that handling a surprise call spike on a Monday morning requires a similar level of composure.
Kevin later earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in International Finance from American Intercontinental University, giving him the business foundation to match his real-world operational experience. Over the years, he’s become known for balancing strategy with practicality and for speaking honestly about what works, what doesn’t, and what leaders tend to overcomplicate.
When he’s not helping organizations rethink how they serve customers and support employees, Kevin enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoys time with his wife and their dog, Chirp — who, if you ask Kevin, runs the household with quiet authority and an impressive ability to secure snacks through strategic charm.
Kevin brings a down-to-earth, real-world perspective to leadership conversations, career growth, and navigating high-pressure environments. He believes you can take your work seriously without taking yourself too seriously — and that a little humor often goes a long way when you’re trying to solve big problems.
